Westhope is one of three Frank Lloyd Wright designed buildings in Oklahoma.  This private residence was built in 1929 for Richard Lloyd Wright, the then publisher of the Tulsa Tribune and Wright's cousin . 

Westhope was listed in the National Register on April 10, 1975. It was listed under National Register Criteria C, g, and its NRIS number is 75001575.
