Peet's Coffee & Tea is a San Francisco Bay Area based specialty coffee roaster and retailer. Founded in 1966 by Alfred Peet in Berkeley, California as Peet's Coffee, Tea & Spices, Peet's is known for its early introduction of darker roasted arabica coffee, such as french roast and grades appropriate for espresso drinks, to Bay Area and US coffee retailing, both the freshly roasted beans and brewed coffee.

Peet's serves excellent coffee, espresso and tea, along with pastries and a few sugary specialty drinks like flavored lattes and Freddos (blended ice drinks). If you're in search of an excellent cup of coffee, be sure to ask about the coffee of the day. The espresso-based drinks have an odd sizing; both the small size and the medium size hot drinks contain two shots of espresso, so the taste isn't consistent across the sizes.

Peet's also has an extensive collection of loose leaf teas. In addition to regular iced tea they also have hibiscus tea. They also have [WWW]Tea Freddos available in matcha green tea and chai. Mango and Berry Pomegranate are seasonally available in spring and summer.
