Walmart in Weyburn is a department store, and is 75% of what you tend to expect from a Walmart. Unlike the surrounding cities', this Walmart is not a Supercentre, meaning that it is somewhat smaller in comparison to locations in the likes of Regina and Saskatoon, nor does it have amenities such as a full grocery section, auto service, nor a McDonalds (there used to be one in this location, but it was recently removed). For most purposes, it's still pretty much a Walmart, just not as fancier as those out-of-town. It still sells a number of things that are harder to find at other area stores, including video gaming products, toys, etc.

This particular Walmart was also the subject of notoriety, as it was the last of three Walmart locations in Canada whose employees were unionized. In 2013, after not being able to reach a collective bargaining agreement with the UFCW, the location's employees voted to decertify the union.,
