STAGES is a California Not-for-Profit Public Benefit Corporation (5013c status pending) whose mission is to provide a non-competitive environment that promotes self esteem and fitness through the art of dance for all ages & skill levels.
We are committed to providing lessons & performance opportunities for those who have either developmental, emotional or financial barriers that would prevent them from pursuing traditional dance opportunities.STAGES curriculum comprises a vital lifelong extension of our students’ education beyond the classroom. We encourage children, teens and adults to take steps on this journey to bring benefits of the creative arts into their lives. Along with teaching discipline to meet the mental & physical challenges of dancing, we hope to be able to strengthen positive and useful memories in surroundings of camaraderie and fun.
Our standards and expectations are high, but we support our students every step of the way. The goal of STAGES is to offer classes in which the feelings of success and accomplishment are high…so the possibilities to grow are endless.
We offer a wide range of classic dance lessons for all ages & levels. Classes in Ballet, Tap, Jazz & Acro Dance are just some of our offerings.
Our facility has two separate air conditioned dance studios. Each has custom sprung dance floors, providing resilience, or give, that dancers need to help protect their joints and muscles from injury. Our Ballet Studio is covered with top quality black marley, the number one choice for ballet floors. Our second studio is covered with a rich hardwood strand Bamboo; great for the environment as well as for dancing! Our new studio boasts two luxurious newly carpeted waiting areas, one a quiet room for reading & relaxing, We also have two huge ADA restrooms as well as a carpeted dressing room. We are in a free-standing building with our own parking located in downtown Woodland around the corner from the library.
