Brush Road is a private road that connects to State Highway 17 about 2 miles north of the Santa Clara/Santa Cruz boundry, and includes Brush Road, Ridge Road and Old Well Road.

Named after Spencer Brush, an early resident, the area has about 35 parcels of land and about 30 homes (as of 2015).  The most famous resident of Brush Road (so far) was John Steinbeck, who lived here from 1939 until the mid 1940s.
