Matt Shannon was an international relations and history student at UC Davis between 2005 and 2009. He was Chair of the ASUCD Internal Affairs Commission in Spring 2009 and Assistant Director of the ASUCD State and National Affairs Office in 2006-2007. Following the disbandment of the ASUCD State and National Affairs Office following ASUCD's withdrawal from UCSA, Shannon was instrumental in establishing the ASUCD University Affairs Office with ASUCD President Kareem Salem and served as ASUCD's first Director of University of Affairs in 2007-2008.
