Hochschulkino is a German word for a cinema club in the university. Our Hochschulkino is called “Flimstudio”. They organize a big screening in the Aula of the main building every Tuesday and every Wednsday and they have special events at certain dates of the year. The most popular event is “Feuerzangenbowle” .

They show popular movies about half a year after they were shown in usual cinemas for a much cheaper price (3€) and you are even allowed to bring your own food and drinks.

The usual entrance fee is 3€, but special events are more expensive. On an average Tuesday or Wednesday you will have no problems to get a ticket at the evening box office in the cellar of the main building, but you can also buy the tickets up to 7 days earlier in their office Kármánstraße 7.

• Feuerzangenbowle: a popular old movie which is showed once a year in Hochschulkino; the title of the movie refers to a popular alcoholic beverage made of hot red whine, rum and different spices, usually prepared during the Christmas season.
