AACTMAD is a nonprofit membership organization whose mission is to enrich people's lives and sense of community through traditional music, dance, song, and related arts. The official name of the organization is AACTMAD (not an acronym), but it describes itself as the "Ann Arbor Community of Traditional Music and Dance".

AACTMAD hosts a dance calendar with listings for a variety of traditional dance and music activities. The calendar includes events AACTMAD-sponsored events as well as many others from around the region.

In addition, AACTMAD owns and operates Concourse Hall, a multi-purpose venue designed for dancing but available for rental for wedding receptions, meetings, and other special events.
