Dahlmann Properties was founded over 25 years ago starting in the student housing market. Over the years Dahlmann made the transition to various landmark properties in the commercial sector. These properties include centrally located hotels, offices, retail sites and apartments throughout the Midwest and Florida.

Dahlmann Properties owns the Dahlmann Campus Inn, the City Center Building, the Glazier Building, the Bell Tower Hotel, and other retail and office properties in the area and in Florida.

In October 2013, Dahlmann Properties put up a $5.25 million bid for the "Old Y Lot", proposing a mixed-use building and "substantial green space"--notably not including a hotel component.
