Dairy Queen, Packard & Stadium
Neighborhood ice cream stores, part of a national chain. Two locations in Ann Arbor, one on Packard Street at Stadium Boulevard, the other on Stadium Boulevard across from Westgate and the Marathon gas station. These two are seasonal stores, open from approximately mid-March to October. The Stadium DQ closes for the season Oct. 26, 2011 at around 9pm.

There are two locations in Ypsilanti, one on Washtenaw which also serves sandwiches (Brazier - open year round for those mid-winter DQ fixes) and one on Michigan Avenue. There are also stores in Dexter on Main Street, in Saline at 400 E Michigan Avenue, and in Whitmore Lake on M-36.
The opening of a neighborhood Dairy Queen is one of the unmistakable signs of spring.
