For almost 40 years, Dale Hill of Ypsilanti has cut hair in the building located at 1495 Washtenaw Avenue — first as an employee of His and Hers Barbershop and then as the owner of Headquarters Haircutting, which was the name he gave to the business after purchasing it in 1976. But all that will end come Dec. 31 as Hill closes his business because Century 21 Brookshire Realty leased his half of the building to a tenant that wants to expand.
