Stadium Boulevard near Liberty Street on the west side of Ann Arbor.

The local place for serious hardware - nuts, bolts, plumbing, etc., plus expert advice from a nice bunch of folks. One of those claustrophobic old-style hardware stores with stuff stacked up to the ceiling and big bins of parts that you can buy exactly one of the exact right thing you need.

"Best Hardware Store on the Planet" says one person. Service is exceptional -- they go out of their way to make sure you get what you want. They're not arrogant. Ask them how to do something and they'll tell you what to do. The staff knows what's where -- they won't tell you that they don't have something just 'cause they don't know what's on the shelves. They're everything that Carpenter Brothers isn't. This isn't a big box store, either; instead of including everything under the sun, they keep the focus on true hardware. But they have those hard to find items that are needed for basic home repairs and maintainence. Problem with ants, hornets or mice, come here. The wheel on your computer chair broke come here.

If you want to buy home decor, go somewhere else; if you want real hardware, plus expert advice, head straight for Stadium Hardware. Take your child along - they will give them a safety sucker. Take your dog along - they'll give her a biscuit. And they don't have crazy high prices, either.

Stadium Hardware is the best general hardware store in town. Plus they are so nice and will give you the best advice on any project, even if they have to talk you out of buying something. They have everything you need for that vacation project or the do-it-yourselfer in the family.

The staff of 18 includes plumbers, electricians and jacks of all trades. And whether the customers are weekend do-it-yourselfers or professional tradesmen and contractors, the Stadium crew is ready to help solve problems.
