The Eye of Agamotto was a comic book store at 340 S. State St, upstairs. It was run by Norm Harris until 1986 and is now closed.

By 1972, “The Eye of Agomotto” had opened up in Ann Arbor, MI on State Street. A non-descript doorway, wedged between two shops on the street, the stairway behind it led up two flights of stairs to a wonderous place where they had nothing but comics for sale.

Harris' passion for art and originality persisted after graduation and a 12-month deployment to Vietnam. He worked a series of odd jobs in Ann Arbor before taking employment at Curious Books, a used-book store that also carried comics "to pull in the student crowd." In 1974, the owner decided to close and Harris bought the store to sell comic books exclusively.
