Two blocks away, the Fifth Quarter (210 S. Fifth Ave.) aims to offer what owner Andrus McDonald describes as an “upscale, big city nightlife environment” with a relaxed, fun atmosphere. The front half of the Fifth Quarter is a beer-and-TV saloon, and the back a more intimate nightclub. Plans are in the works to open the top floor as a restaurant and pool hall in the summer of 2009. The Fifth Quarter is open Tuesday through Saturday with nightly drink specials and a mechanical bull on Fridays.
