The Urbanwood Project is a Michigan-based network of family-owned businesses that salvage logs from dead, dying, and removed trees in local neighborhoods. These businesses partner with nonprofit resale organizations to sell sustainable lumber, slabs and other unique wood products in several area marketplaces. Coordination for the Urbanwood Project is provided by Recycle Ann Arbor. Current marketplaces are available at Recycle Ann Arbor's ReUse Center, the Genesee County Habitat for Humanity ReStore, and the Haslett Habitat for Humanity ReStore.
