The W. R. Wheeler Service Center is a 26 acre site on Stone School Road which has City of Ann Arbor operations, maintenance, vehicle storage, salt storage, fueling and vehicle wash facilities.
It opened in 2007, replacing older city buildings at 415 W. Washington St., 721 N. Main St., and 2000 S. Industrial.

City enjoying benefits of new $35 million maintenance facility, Ann Arbor News, Tom Gantert. The site has three buildings: a 39,000 square foot operations building, a 40,000 square foot maintenance garage and a 65,000 square foot vehicle storage building and a salt storage dome that can hold up to 6,500 tons of salt.
