Bidwell Junior High is one of Chico's three (or four if you count Hooker Oak School) junior high schools. Their mascot is the Pioneers.
BJHS is also home to Pleasant Valley Pool, a publicly accessible swimming pool maintained by the Chico Area Recreation and Park District for use in the summer.
