Martello Terrace is a seafront terrace at Newtownsmith.

The name may relate to the Martello Tower in Sandycove, known popularly as the James Joyce Tower, which is within sight of Martello Terrace, or to a former Martello tower demolished in the 1860s, which was within a few hundred yards behind this terrace.

The distinctive architecture, with fan ornamentation over the windows is shared by many of the houses on the terrace
