Other information:

This was the home of Arthur Rogers in 1925, and then of Mrs. Arthur Rogers from 1933 to 1939.  From 1945 to 1969 it was the home of Mrs. Ethel Rogers.  Mrs. Rogers was the mother of twin brothers Neil and Thomas Rogers.  The former was a Patrolman with the Saranac Lake Police Department for 35 years.  The latter became a priest, the Rev. Thomas W. Rogers, who, in 1952, celebrated his first mass at St. Bernard's Church, at which time he imparted the Papal blessing to more than 2000 persons who attended the Mass or made a special pilgrimage to the church. The blessing was a privilege extended to Father Rogers by the Pope in Rome during a private audience granted the priest the previous year.
