ONCHIOTA — Angeline M. Tormey, 97, died Wednesday evening, Aug. 8, 1990 at her home here.

She was born Dec. 7, 1892 in Churubusco, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Caesar Patnode.

A resident of Onchiota most of her life, she, along with her husband, operated the H.J. Tormey General Store and Cottages in Onchiota for 55 years.

She was a member of Catholic Daughters Court Fatima No. 1525 of Bloomingdale/Gabriels.  She enjoyed arts and crafts and quilt-making.

She is survived by a son, Hayden, of Onchiota; three daughters, Mrs. Violet Farmer and Mrs. Laura Williams, both of Onchiota, and Mrs. Dorothy Schwartz of Rochester; 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren and several, nieces and ;nephews.

Her husband, Hayden, died on Aug, 12, 1977. She was also predeceased by a son, Pershing, in l969.

Calling hours will be private and will be held at the convenience of the family.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Friday at the Fortune Funeral Home, Saranac Lake, with the Rev. Patrick Mundy, pastor of St Paul's Church in Bloomingdale, officiating. Interment will follow in the Merrillsville Cemetery, Loon Lake.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Catholic Daughters in care of the funeral home.
