SARANAC LAKE Arlington N. Dora, 53, president of the Saranac Lake Hardware, Inc. died Saturday evening at Saranac Lake General Hospital. His home was at 195 Lake Flower Ave.
Mr. Dora had been connected with the hardware store since 1957. He was the current president of the Lions Club, a member of the Elks Lodge, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was born in Burke, a son of William J. and Ava Tucker Dora, and was a veteran of World War II.
Survivors are his wife, Elizabeth Lunan Dora, whom he married in June, 1947, three sons, Wilham and Richard of Saranac Lake, and Raymond of Cato, three daughters, Mary Lynn, Kareen and Carol, all of Saranac Lake, one grandchild, a sister, Mrs. Myrtle Silver of Florida and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Fortune Funeral Home where there will be a Lions service at 7:30 this evening, followed by an Elks service at 8. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Eric King and the Rev. John McAvoy officiating. Burial will be in St. Bernard's Cemetery in May.
