Dr. Arthur F. Chace was a contemporary of Dr. E. L. Trudeau. He owned a camp on Upper St. Regis Lake, Pine Point Lodge. His grand daughter, Kat Chase recalls that he was the personal doctor of Marjorie Merriweather Post and that he started Leroy Sanatorium in Manhattan, founded to work in conjunction in some way with Trudeau's sanatorium in Saranac Lake. He served on the original board of Paul Smiths College.
