From Howard Riley's column in the Adirondack Daily Enterprise, May 16, 2020

Carr & Dyer Motors, Inc. first opened their automobile dealership at 38 Main Street, where Madden's Transfer and Storage is now located. Vern and Louise Carr owned the business. The mechanics worked on the third floor, and the offices were on the main floor, but there was no showroom for the new Dodges and Plymouths. By at least 1954 they were located at 52 Church Street Extension. (The location is now Amerigas at 159 Church Street Extension.) There they had a small showroom that held two cars. Mechanical work was done in the building behind it at 55 Church Street Extension.
