SARANAC LAKE - Charles M. Martin [sic] of the Bloomingdale Road died yesterday, Feb. 10, at the General Hospital of Saranac Lake.
He was born June 13, 1900 in Dayton, Ohio, the son of Henry and Caroline (Heinzman) Martin.
His wife, Naoma (MacDowell) Martin, whom he married in 1959, survives.
Also surviving are a son, William of Philadelphia, Pa., and eight grandchildren.
He had been a resident of the area since 1955, and was a former guide, and a boatman at Saranac Inn for eight years. He later became a caretaker for the Fisher Camps at Forestmere, retiring in 1967.
Mr. Martin was a veteran of World War II, and a member of the American Legion Post 447.
There were no calling hours nor funeral service.
Cremation was in Troy.
Fortune Funeral Home of Saranac Lake was in charge of local arrangements.
