Obituary

Mrs. Hattie Fadden was born in Clayburg, N. Y., May 10th, 1856, daughter of Ezra and Lizzie Manley. Her early life was spent in Clayburg and Loon Lake, where by her friendly nature and willingness to serve others, she gathered a host of friends.

On Feb. 23, 1885 she was united in marriage to Chas. Fadden of Silver Lake, making their home in Loon Lake. In 1908 they moved to Plattsburgh where they have since lived.

On Sept. 9th Mrs. Fadden passed away suddenly at her home, 41 So. Catherine St. She leaves to mourn her loss, a devoted husband, three sisters, Mrs. Emma Lawson,Mrs. Wm. Huggins, Mrs. Chas. Sherman and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral was held Tuesday, Sept. 12 from the home, with a prayer service by Rev. F. J. Ball of the Plattsburg M. E. church and from the Merrillsville M. E. church conducted by Rev. Hall of Bloomingdale M. E. church. Mrs. Clarence Fletcher and Mr. Parsons rendered two selections with much feeling, “Jesus is Mine” arid “It is Well with My Soul”.

The large number of floral pieces was evidence of the esteem in which Mrs. Fadden was held by all who knew her.

The pallbearers were Wm. Wilson, Clyde Hart. Burial was in Merrillsville cemetery.

Those who attended from out of town were Mrs. Wm. Huggins of GoflFstown, N. H., Mrs. Emma Laware and two daughters of Clinton, Mass.; David and Fremont Fadden of Fulton, N. Y., Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Fadden and son of Saranac Lake, N. Y., and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Fadden of Loon Lake.
