TUPPER LAKE - Hazel V. Mayotte, 91, of River Road, Tupper Lake, died Thursday, Jan. 18, 2001 at the Mercy Healthcare Center, where she had resided for the past two weeks.

Born in Tupper Lake on Feb. 27, 1909, she was the daughter of David and Ruby (Fitzsimmons) Haskins.

She attended schools in Ottawa and later in Brasher Falls. She also attended nursing training school in Watertown.

On Aug. 27, 1932. she married Edmond Mayotte in Old Forge. She worked for several years at the Dress Factory in Tupper Lake.

Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Irene Mayotte of Tupper Lake and Barbara Duso of Southwick, Mass.; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by one son, Peter, in 1995 and a sister, Vera Macaluso.

There will be no calling hours. A memorial Mass will be held at past commander of the Sunmount VFW in Tupper Lake.
