SARANAC LAKE - Gerard Cavallo, 79, a resident of Saranac Lake for 40 years, died early today at Saranac Lake General Hospital.

Mr. Cavalio was born in Utica, a son of Joseph and Theresa Moato[? illegible] Cavallo. He served in World War I in both France and Belgium and was charter member of Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 3357. He had been a mason.

Survivors are a son, Joseph  of Saranac Lake; a daughter, Genevieve of Saranac Lake; two brothers, Frank of Utica and Dr. Peter Cavallo of Memphis, Tenn.; five sisters, Ann of Woodside, Rockatella Pelletieri and Rose Romano of Saranac Lake, Lucy Duncan of Yarmouth, Mass, and Marie Valentine of Greenwood Lake; four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Keough and Son Memorial Chapel on Saturday evening from 7 to 9 and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Veterans of Foreign Wars service will be held at 7:30 Sunday evening, and a prayer service at 8. A Mass of the Resurrection will be offered at 10 a,m. Monday at St. Bernard's  Church. Interment will be in St. Bernard's Cemetary.

Jerry Cavallo, Restaurant Owner, Dies

SARANAC LAKE — Jerry Cavallo, 80, owner and operator of the Belvedere Restaurant here for more than 40 years, died this morning in Saranac Lake General Hospital.The Keough and Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements. Survivors include a son, Joseph, and a daughter, Jenny.
