 John F. Grimes was president and treasurer of the Upstate Broadcasting Corporation, and manager of Station WNBZ. He took the cure at Gabriels sanatorium.

JOHN GRIMES DIES SUDDENLY AT HOME HERE

John Francis Grimes, who had been confined to his home at 30 Franklin avenue for the past several days with an attack of flu, died suddenly about 10 o’ clock this morning following an unexpected heart attack. Mr. Grimes was president and treasurer of the Upstate Broadcasting Corporation.

Mr. Grimes was born March 9, 1902 in New York city the son of William and Marie Goslin Grimes. He received his early education at the Hoboken high school in New Jersey and later attended Fordham Law school in New York.

He first came to this section for his health in 1917 at which time he was a patient at Gabriels sanatorium.

He returned to Saranac Lake for his health again in 1932 and made his home here from that time on.

On Nov. 9, 1939 he was married in this village to the former Miss Grace Castle.

Funeral services were incomplete at a late hour this morning.

Besides his wife Mr. Grimes is survived by two children, John Francis and Christopher Stephen Grimes, his mother, two brothers, Dr. Robert R. Grimes of Ridgefield Park. N. J., and Elmer W. Grimes of Teaneck. N. J., and one sister, Mrs. Edward Duffy of Teaneck.
