SARANAC LAKE - Louis E. Neubauer of 15 McClelland St. died suddenly yesterday morning at the age of 54.

He was born in Saranac Lake the son of Louis E. and Elizabeth O'Neil Neubauer. A lifelong resident of Saranac Lake, he was employed as a caseworker for the Franklin County Department of Social Services and was a member of the Veterans Club.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth Rowley, by three stepdaughters, Miss Sally Grundy and Mrs. Linda LaMondie of Malone, and Mrs. Martha Murphy of Syracuse. Also surviving are an aunt, Mrs. Ignatius Neubauer of Saranac Lake, two step-grandchildren, Paula and Brian LaMondie, and several cousins in Albany.

Friends may call at the Fortune Funeral Home from 7-9 p.m. tonight. A Veterans Service will be held at 7 p.m. and a Bible Vigil Service will follow.

Father C. J. McAvoy will officiate at the Mass of the Resurrection to be held at St. Bernard's Church in Saranac Lake at 9 a.m. Saturday.

Interment will be at Our Lady Help of Christians in Albany at 3 p.m. Saturday.
