Dedicated to Marguerite DeLongue Armstrong in honor of her pioneer spirit and devotion to Trudeau Sanatorium for forty years. The beauty of the hillside on which Trudeau stands is a lasting tribute to her memory.

Marguerite deLongue Armstrong became the third superintendent of the Adirondack Cottage Sanitarium, following the retirement of Julia Miller, whom she had assisted. She had been a patient first herself, and retired as superintendent because of her health. She lived most of her adult life on the sanatorium grounds. A plaque in her honor is attached to a boulder on the hillside below Ludington Infirmary, sometimes visible from the main road through the property.
Several small birds sculpted by Anthony di Bona were originally part of the memorial, but were removed at some past time. She is buried in St. John's Cemetery in Paul Smiths, where her name is given as Margareite Delongue. There is no listing there for Charles Armstrong.
