LAKE PLACID) — Mrs. Rita Floyd-Jones, 74, of 35 Mirror Lake drive, died Tuesday evening at Placid Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Floyd-Jones was born June 8, 1905 in Cornwall, Ontario, Canada, the daughter of John and Mary McDougald McMartin. Her husband, Roy A. died in 1964.

Surviving are a son, Peter LeMay of Lake Clear, a daughter, Mrs. J. Walter (Barbara) Howby of Washington; D.C., and one granddaughter.

Mrs. Floyd-Jones had been a resident of this area since the 1940's. For some time she lived at Camp Massapequa on Lower Saranac Lake, but moved to Lake Placid 14 years ago.

There will be no calling hours.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be said at 9:30 .m. today (Feb. 21) at St. Bernard's Church, Saranac Lake, with the Rev. Philip Allen, of St. Agnes Church, Lake Placid, officiating. Interment will take place in Notre Dame Cemetery, Montreal.

 The Fortune Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
