Five Mile River Landing is the historical name of the area of Rowayton on the west side of Rowayton Avenue, just south of Wilson Avenue. The area is alongside Nichols Pond, the inlet which forms the mouth of the Five Mile River. The name dates back at least as early as 1753. ¹
