Clarence Nathan Cooper (May 23, 1879 – November 23, 1935) was the founder of the Clarence Cooper Mortuary.
Cooper was born in Canada to Nathan Cooper and Emeline Cooper; the family immigrated to Michigan about 1892. He married Mabel C. Hamilton (Cooper) in 1901.
Around 1910, the Coopers moved to St. Helena, CA, where Clarence worked as an undertaker. By 1912, they had moved to Oakland, where he started his own mortuary.
Mabel died November 2, 1918 (influenza?). Clarence then married Rae Jeanette Fowler (Cooper).
Cooper died in 1935 of a heart attack, after a long illness. He is interred in Mountain View Cemetery.
