The Syndicate Water Company was a short-lived water company organized by "Borax" Smith and Frank Havens. The company filed for incorporation in 1906. 1
In February 1906, the company purchased the Richmond Water Company. 3 After some legal wrangling over water rights, 4,5 in July 1906, the company purchased the Contra Costa Water Company for approximately $70 per share ($20 cash plus interest in the new company.) 2
The next year, 1907, the combined company was absorbed into the Peoples Water Company.
