Cary Parks and Greenways

The Town of Cary describes the Swift Creek Greenway by offering this bit of trivia: "The Swift Creek Greenway is a 1.03 mile trail constructed of recycled asphalt and is the nation's first greenway to be built completely with recycled products!" Although short, it is heavily wooded for most of its length and is a like a forest trail.

One end of the greenway starts at Regency parkway. You can walk across the parkway and access the greenway around Regency Lake. The other end is on Kildaire Farm Rd. and connects into the trail system of the Lochmere neighborhood near the Lochmere golf course.

If driving, you can park at Ritter Park and access the trail from the parking lot.
