The Royal Chicano Air Force is a Sacramento artist collective with a primary focus on Chicano cultural awareness. They are responsible for many local murals and public art installations, including the Southside Park amphitheater and the Downtown/Old Sacramento pedestrian underpass. The RCAF was founded in 1972 by, among others, José Montoya, Esteban Villa, Juanishi V. Orosco, Ricardo Favela, and Rudy Cuellar. They also created the not-for profit community organization, Centros De Artistas Chicanos, which runs the Breakfast for Ninos program, La Nueva Raza Bookstore, and the Barrio Art Program.
