Scoot is a network of on-demand electric scooters throughout SF. You can rent a scooter using your smartphone, which also serves as the unlocking device for the scooter. No motorcycle license is required to rent a Scoot scooter.
The scooters can travel for < 25mi on a charge, so they aren't good for lots of around town travel.
Scoot was launched in SF in October of 2012.
