Tarek Fatah is an author and the TV host of the local news show Muslim Chronicle. He is politically active in the Muslim community. In 2008 he wrote Chasing a Mirage: The Tragic Illusion of an Islamic State.
He has been the subject of some controversy as a "progressive Muslim leader", prompting Karen Sun to write a public response, Tarek Fatah does not represent the Muslim community.
