Forbes Avenue is a street in Yuba City that runs between Gray Avenue and Plumas Street. From east to west, significant places on Forbes Avenue include Shadd Vacuum Shop, Pattycakes Café and Bakery, Sutter County Free Library, Pacific Glass Services, and Best Choice Self Storage.

In 1891, botanist Willis Linn Jepson collected samples of smallhead field clovers,1 fleshy lupines,2 and vernal pool popcornflowers3 in the area now bounded by Forbes Avenue and Bridge Street to the north and south and by Plumas Street and Clark Avenue to the east and west, creating a valuable historic record of the native plants that grew in the area. These plants are rarely seen in Yuba City today.
