Are these Roberts families linked with the Madras Roberts families??
When John William Roberts (b.1794, Ruthin, Denbighshire, Wales) and his family arrived the Editor of 'The Observer' wrote "another branch of Mr Roberts Family". I am sure he was referring to Edward Roberts the brother of the Roberts brothers that arrived on 'The Arab' 26 August 1843, as Edward was the only brother in the colony at the time of both arrivals, although Richard had been there before.
