The Third Ward is one of the five wards into which the City is divided for purposes of City Council elections. The Third Ward consists of the southeast area of the city.

In 2016 the Third Ward is represented on City Council by Julie Grand and Zachary Ackerman. Ms. Grand was elected in 2014. Mr. Ackerman was elected in 2015.
