The 18-foot by 14-foot mural depicts a tree with the world's countries' flags as leaves, and the roots wrapping around a globe also act as hands that cradle the earth. ... [16-year-old Karla] Salazar helped the group clean up the mural wall and painted the leaves and sky. She says the mural shows that everyone is part of a whole, even though they come from different states, are of different ethnicities, or are part of different races.
