William Gagnon (1929? - June 7, 2012) was an Ypsilanti Township Trustee and Supervisor during the 1970s. Gagnon was born in Detroit and graduated from Catholic Central high school before moving to Ypsilanti, where he lived for 47 years. Gagnon moved to Tuscon, AZ, in 2003.

AnnArbor.com, writing on Gagnon's death, quotes current Ypsilanti Township Supervisor Ruth Ann Jamnick on Gagnon's impact on the community: "Mr. Gagnon (as she prefers to refer to him) had a handprint all over our community, most notably the Ypsilanti Township Civic Center's location and design ... It was his vision and leadership, working with other community leadership in both the township and city that brought the Ypsilanti Community Utilities Authority into its existence."
