Cherry Hill Village is a New Urbanist development. The intersection of Cherry Hill Rd and Ridge Rd is styled to be a town center within walking distance of all residents of the Village. The Village has a Walk Score of 38, which rates as "car dependent".

Development

In November of 2009, Livonia Builders received permission to build 33 new homes after lengthy debate with the Cherry Hill Village Homeowners Association and the township Board of Trustees. The new cottage- and village-style homes will range from 1600 to 2400 square feet and will be placed on the market starting under $200,000. The new homes will be built on a 5.6-acre site south of Jackson Ln between Harrison St and Roosevelt St. Canton Observer: Cherry Hill builder gets nod for 33 homes

Public transportation

The Ann Arbor Transporatation Authority's A2Canton Express runs two round trip buses per day from Cherry Hill Village to locations on the University of Michigan campus and to downtown Ann Arbor.
