Pole Line Road Baptist Church is one of the three Baptist churches in Davis.

Each week a new saying inspired from the Bible is posted on the sign in front of the church on the corner of E. 8th Street and Pole Line Road. Examples: "Who's your daddy?" "Are we to clone ourselves?" "Life's not fair. Now what?"

The church sponsors Parent's Night Out, a fun evening of games, crafts, Bible stories, movies & refreshments for children while parents spend some time on their own.  All children, infants through 6th grade may attend. A $2.50 donation per child is suggested to help cover costs but is not required.  All workers have been approved through an extensive background check and interview process.  You may bring your child anytime after 5:45 p.m. and they have to be picked up no later than 9:00 p.m.  Please call 753-4315 if you have any questions.  The 2019 PNO dates are Feb. 8, April 12, Aug. 23, Oct. 2625, & Dec. 13.

The church features a diverse congregation and is frequented by many families local to Davis. It participates in worldwide missions and community events, including a community yard sale in September (Sept. 21, 2019) where our neighbors can come and sell their treasures, arts, crafts, etc.  The church does not charge for the spaces to sell items and does not take any donations.  We're just giving those who may not have room to hold a yard sale a place to do it.

Have you ever thought about learning a foreign language?  Pastor Hardy teaches American Sign Language on Monday evenings from September through May, and it only costs $3.00 for the entire season to help cover the cost of handouts that you receive.  See our website, www.polelinebaptist.org, for the current schedule.  If you're taking a sign language class elsewhere and need to go to a sign language event as an assignment, our Sunday morning worship services qualify.  If you know someone who is deaf or hard of hearing and is looking for a church to attend, tell them to check us out. 

We have Sunday morning worship services at 8:00 & 11:00 a.m. and a Youth Worship service at 11:00 for youth in grades 6-12 led by young adults from Gracepoint. Our Sunday morning Bible Study classes for all ages are from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m.  We are a "mission-minded" church in both our financial support of mission projects & missionaries & sending people on both stateside & overseas short term mission trips annually. 

The Senior Pastor at Pole Line Road Baptist Church, Exter Hardy, has been the pastor since March 1991. Exter grew up in the south and took sign language as his foreign language. He also served as a missionary to the deaf. With two deaf sons, Exter is fluent in sign language and thus preaches simultaneously in English and sign language. Exter received his Master of Divinity and Doctorate of Ministry from Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary. He also has a Masters Degree in Marriage and Family Counseling from California State University, Sacramento. Exter lives in Davis has four children - Otavio, Lauren (Adam, & son - Lincoln), Chase (Shaunah; daughters - Hannah & MacKenzie, & son - Logan ), and Joseph (Christiana) .  Exter is a licensed Foster Care home with Yolo County and an AYSO soccer coach.  He has published his first book "Does Ministry Have to Hurt so Much?"
