Ray "Tomato Man" Picconatto shared his love of gardening with Duluth children by providing every Duluth K-4 student with a tomato plant each year.
He was much beloved for his efforts, and the Tomato Man Project continues his legacy by ensuring that school children receive a tomato plant every spring.
Ray died in 2010.
