Other information: According to the 1916 TB Directory, the Devereaux Cottage, run by Mrs. E. M. Devereaux, had room for 13 patients, had one cure porch and charged $8-13 per week. This building is gone, but there is now a single-family house set on the back of the lot. A huge rock (it may barely be seen in the photo to the right side of the house behind the porch post) still — in 2016 — bears the faint painted lettering, "Devereaux Cottage."
It was run by Mrs. Mildred Lawrence starting from 1929 to 1942.

As many times as I have driven up to Trudeau, yesterday for the first time I noticed that huge rock in the lot on Marshall street on which was painted "Devereaux Cottage. Although it's probably been there a long time.
