Due to illness, Mrs. Mildred Lawrence of 20 River Street is making her home with her son, Lyman, and family at 5 Birch Street. Mrs. Lawrence opened her first cure cottage at 74 Bloomingdale Avenue in 1929. From there she moved to Marshall Street, the old Devreau home. Then on to 74 Park Avenue and then to 20 River Street in 1942.
Among the guests Mrs. Lawrence has accommodated, Larry Doyle is once again occupying his former quarters at Northwoods where he lived for 16 years; Larry Block has gone to the Berkeley Hotel, Olin Sweet to the Hotel Saranac, Mr. Keji to 89 Riverside Drive, Melba Thompson and Mr. Lagoy to Mrs. Harvey's on Olive Street, Miss Jean Conklin to 110 Main Street and Mr. Salonkis to Tupper Lake.

Mildred Lawrence
SARANAC LAKE Mrs. Mildred L. Lawrence, a resident of Saranac Lake for over 70 years, died yesterday at the Saranac Lake General Hospital. She had owned and operated cure cottages here for about 40 years.
Mrs. Lawrence was born in Dannemora, Nov. 27, 1896, the daughter of Mose and Nathalia St. Germaine Minnie. She was married to Reginald who died here in 1948.
Surviving are a son, Lyman of Saranac Lake; a sister, Mrs. Helen LaFlamme of Saranac Lake; and three grandsons, Richard, Ronald and Kenneth.
Remains repose at Keough and Sons Memorial Chapels. Friends may call tonight. A Bible Vigil will be held at 7:30 p.m. this evening at the funeral home.
Services are scheduled for tomorrow at 11:15 a.m. at St. Bernard's Church, Reverends James Kane and C.J. McAvoy officiating. Burial will be in St. Bernard's Cemetery in May.
