SARANAC LAKE - Edith B. Hayward, 77, of 3-5 Riverside Drive in Saranac Lake, died Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2003 at her home.

Born in Saranac Lake on Sept. 17, 1925, she was the daughter of Marshall and Minnie (Mooso) White.

Mrs. Hayward was a life long resident of Saranac Lake and was employed in the linen room and as a seamstress at the Saranac Lake General Hospital for 16 years, retiring in 1969. She enjoyed walking in the woods.

She is survived by one son, Clarence Anderson of Rockwood, Pa.; five grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband Harvey; two sisters; Alice Dukett and Mabel LaBombard and one brother, John White.

Calling hours will take place at the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home from 2 to 4 p.m. on Friday. A funeral service will immediately follow with the Rev. Fredrick Dennis officiating. Following cremation, burial will be in Pine Ridge Cemetery in May.

Friends wishing to remember Edith B. Hayward may make memorial contributions to High Peaks Hospice in care of the funeral home.
