Elizabeth Delisle taught business classes at the Saranac Lake High School for over 40 years.  She was a sister of Alice DeLisle, the first Winter Carnival queen.

Elizabeth A. DeLisle

Elizabeth A. DeLisle, 79, of 110 Main St., died Tuesday, July 26, at the General Hospital of Saranac Lake after a long illness.

Miss DeLisle was a life-long resident of Saranac Lake, born in this village June 1, 1904, the daughter of Nelson and Philemon [sic] (Patnode) DeLisle.

She was a graduate of Plattsburgh State University College, and taught business classes at the Saranac Lake High School for over 40 years.

She was a member of St. Bernard's Parish.

Survivors include a sister, Madeline Cronk of Southfield, Mich.; Elizabeth A. DeLisle a niece, Norma Corcoran of North Syracuse; a nephew, the Rev. James Cronk of Waterford, Mich.; and several other nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held from 7 to 9 p.m., today at the Keough and Son Funeral Home and include a Bible vigil at 7:30, with the Rev. C.J. McAvoy officiating. The Catholic Daughters will participate in the Bible vigil.

A mass of Christian burial will be held tomorrow at 10 a.m., at St. Bernard's Church, with the Rev. James Cronk officiating. Rev. McAvoy will con-celebrate the service.

Burial will follow in St. Bernard's Cemetery.
